The symposium and workshop will gather Indian and Australian experts to evaluate current capabilities, identify research priorities, and establish a roadmap for joint projects. Participants will contribute to developing methodologies for critical mineral exploration, extraction, and recycling, aiming to bolster sustainable practices in the sector.

The symposium and workshop includes one and a half day of intensive presentations, group and panel discussions followed by half a day of finalising on the roadmap ahead.
While the primary aim of the workshop is to facilitate face-to-face interactions, we will also provide opportunities for international and some domestic participants to join virtually via MS Teams or Zoom. Detailed instructions for virtual participation will be shared closer to the date upon registration.
The symposium and workshop will be subdivided into four main thematic areas state of play, current baseline, the priority areas and the projects to be funded under the current round. These will be discussed in a dedicated session and ending a panel discussion.
The symposium and workshop is open to a wide audience, including industry leaders, policymakers, researchers, and students. It will feature keynote speeches, technical presentations, roundtable discussions, and thematic sessions addressing current priorities and future directions in the field.
